Meet The Founder

Hi, I'm Jade McChristie, founder of Elegant Equestrian.

Horses have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in Germany, where I spent most of my childhood riding, competing, and working alongside the Household Cavalry at weekends. From an early age, my passion was show jumping, and I loved every minute I could spend in the saddle.

Unfortunately, a serious show jumping accident changed my journey. After breaking my femur, I spent two years out of the saddle recovering and was advised to take a slower approach to riding. During that time, I focused on building my career in marketing, but one thing never changed my love for horses.

As many equestrians will understand, horses have a way of drawing you back. Today, I'm lucky enough to own an American Quarter Horse crossed with an Irish Draft, a slightly crazy combination, I know! From the moment I met her, I fell in love. These days, I enjoy schooling, hacking, and the occasional little jump to keep my passion alive.

Like so many riders, I've always believed that if your horse looks good, you feel good too. I've also had a bit of an obsession with saddle pads, you can never have too many, and of course, everything has to match! But I found myself frustrated that high quality, stylish saddle pads almost always came with a premium price tag.

That frustration inspired Elegant Equestrian.

Over the past year, I've dedicated countless hours to researching factories, materials, and designs to create saddle pads that combine luxury, performance, and comfort without the luxury price tag. My goal has always been simple: to offer beautiful, high-quality equestrian products that are accessible to more riders.

Elegant Equestrian is more than just a business, it's a dream built from the ground up by someone who genuinely understands the equestrian lifestyle. Every order, every follow, every message of support means the world to me, and I'm so grateful you've taken the time to be part of this journey.

This is only the beginning. I have exciting plans for new colours, styles, and products in the future, and I can't wait to share them with you.
